FIFA 2010 World Cup Food Challenge - 32 teams' national cuisine at SF restaurants (Check out the list!)

SAN FRANCISCO, CA May 30, 2010 – tweservation is sponsoring a Food Challenge involving thirty two teams’ national cuisine that will be participating in the 2010 World Cup tournament in South Africa this summer:

Algeria (Cafe Zitouna), Argentina (Tanguito), Australia (Firefly), Brazil (Espetus Churrascaria), Cameroon (Pearl's Deluxe Burgers), Chile (Chile Lindo Empanadas), Denmark (Swan Oyster Depot), England (Woodhouse Fish Company), France (Cafe Jacqueline), Germany (Walzwerk), Ghana (Catch), Greece (Lavash), Honduras (Cha Cha Cha), Italy (Barbacco), Ivory Coast (Assab Eritrean Restaurant), Japan (Sushi Bistro), Mexico (Nopalito), Netherlands (Outerlands), New Zealand (Katia's Tea Room), Nigeria (Bursa), North Korea (King of Noodles), Paraguay (Inkas Restaurant), Portugal (Horatius), Serbia (Cafe Prague), Slovakia (Schroeder's), Slovenia (Suppenkuche), South Africa (Lahore Karachi) , South Korea (Namu), Spain (Zarzuela), Switzerland (Melt!), United States (Nopa), Uruguay (El Patio Espanol)

Contest participants will visit thirty two different restaurants in San Francisco and order a specific dish for each nationality. The contestants can take a picture of the dish and upload it to the Foodspotting website which can be done via the Foodspotters iPhone application. Prizes will be awarded for first, second and third place in the form of gift certificates to restaurants on the tweservation platform.
